The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) hosted its first Design Webinar Series in 2021. The series demonstrated the many benefits design patents bring to an intellectual property (IP) portfolio, both in terms of maximizing value and success in enforcement. The USPTO continues these discussions with their second annual Design Webinar Series in 2022, which will take a deeper dive into design patent strategy, including how to effectively leverage design patents in a quickly evolving legal landscape. The series also highlights the role design patents provide for a variety of industries in each region of the U.S.
