The .gov means it’s official.
Federal government websites often end in .gov or .mil. Before
sharing sensitive information, make sure you’re on a federal
government site.

the official website and that any information you provide is
encrypted and transmitted securely.
Release Notes for October 25, 2019
We updated the two-step authentication process when logging into your USPTO.gov account. You now have an option to receive the authentication code via a text message. You can configure this option for two-step authentication in your Account page, in the top right drop-down menu under your name.
