Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance impacting multiple systems beginning at 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 24 and ending at 5 p.m., Monday, May 27 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will be unavailable:
- Adjudicated Case Tracking System (ACTS)
- Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web)
- Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB E2E)
- Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR)
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
- Assignments for Patents and Trademarks
For Patents Customers:
During the maintenance period, applicants may file new applications, except for National Stage applications under 35 U.S.C. 371, via EFS-Web Contingency.
If you need to file a National Stage application under 35 U.S.C. 371 or follow-on submission to an existing application during the maintenance period, or need more information about filing documents during an outage, please visit https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/filing-online/filing-documents-during-outage.

TSDR API Outage
The Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Application Programming Interface (API) will be unavailable starting May 7 at 12 a.m. ET for at least two weeks. This is due to unprecedented levels of bulk data scraping, which is preventing Trademark employees from working, and causing other significant IT issues. If you rely on third-party organizations to receive trademark status and document retrieval, these services could be impacted if the third party uses our TSDR API.
Many customers check trademark status and retrieve documents directly from TSDR at http://tsdr.uspto.gov/. This data access point will still be available.
Bulk data customers who rely on the TSDR API can use alternative methods to receive bulk data from TSDR.
