Our second Public Engagement Partnership meeting will be held on June 10, 2024, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. ET, virtually and in person at USPTO headquarters, in Alexandria, Virginia.

Get an in-depth look at how examiners search for prior art when reviewing a patent application and learn how you can provide input on pending patent applications that matter to you.

This meeting will provide:

  • A hands-on prior art search workshop
  • Information and strategies from USPTO patent experts and practitioners on filing third-party submissions – documents that members of the public can file for consideration during an examiner’s review of a pending patent application.

Please review the full meeting agenda. This event is free. Although the meeting is open to all, it is specifically designed for members of the public interest community, such as members of advocacy groups, public interest-focused nonprofits, academia, and civil society.
