Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS) Migration


The USPTO will perform a DMZ migration on BDSS from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., on Wednesday, June 28 ET. 

Note: BDSS will be unavailable during the migration window.  If customers have any issues after the maintenance, please call the Service Desk.

Production Data Center
Migration

 The USPTO will perform a DMZ migration on the various products from the
Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas,
beginning at 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 28 and ending at 3 a.m., Thursday, June
29 ET. 

These
products will not be available during the migration window: 


  • DOC Extranet (DOCextranet) 

  • Enterprise Forensic (EF)

  • Identity, Credential, and
    Access Management-Authenticator MFA (ICAM-MFA) 

  • Office of Human Resources
    Network (OHRNet) 

  • Office of Finance Disbursements
    Network (OFDNet) 

  • Radio Frequency Identification
    (RFID) 

  • Secure Access Service Edge
    (SASE) 

  • Trilateral
    Network (TRINet), however, during
    the migration window, TDA will be unavailable.

after the maintenance, please call the Service Desk.

The USPTO will be performing updates to MyUSPTO experience from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5 ET. Users may notice slight differences in the security preferences workflow as we continue to improve your USPTO.gov account experience.
