Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) and Patent Center Update
The USPTO will perform internal updates impacting new applications filed via Patent Center and EFS-Web on two consecutive nights. The dates are as follows:
- The beginning night of maintenance will be from 12:15 a.m. until 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15 ET.
- The final night of maintenance will be from 12:15 a.m. until 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, March 16 ET.
During the update period, impacted applications may experience extended delays in availability for retrieval within Patent Center and Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR).
Customers should check back during regular business hours, if their submission is impacted.
Trademark Content Management System (TM-CMS) and Trademark Abstraction Layer (TM-AL) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the TM-CMS and TM-AL systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on multiple systems from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 ET.
The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:
• Patent Practitioner Search
• Registered Practitioner Portal
• Exam Applicant Portal
• Office of Enrollment Discipline Information System (OEDIS)
• Assignment on the Web (AOTW)
• Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
• Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS)
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Inquiry System (TTABVUE)
Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on Private-PAIR from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 18 ET.
During the maintenance period, Private PAIR will be unavailable. Please use Patent Center as an alternative to electronically retrieve patent applications.
