Trademark System Maintenance


The USPTO will perform maintenance on Trademark systems from 12 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 5 ET. 

The following systems will be impacted:

    • Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG) will not be available. You can access recent PDF versions of the gazette on the Trademark Official Gazette webpage. For archived PDF versions of gazettes dating back to 2001, visit the archived editions page
    • Trademarks ID Manual (IDM) will not be available.
    • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) initial application forms will not be available.
    • TTAB Reading Room will not be available.
    • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) will be unavailable. 

The following systems will remain available, but links to and images derived from TSDR will be unavailable, including mark images.

    • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
    • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)

Office of Enrollment Discipline Information System (OEDIS) Maintenance


The USPTO will perform maintenance on the OEDIS beginning at 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, January 6 ET.

The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

    • Patent Practitioner Search
    • Registered Practitioner Portal
    • Exam Applicant Portal

Processing Next Generation (FPNG) Credit Card Payment Maintenance



Due
to USPTO maintenance activities, credit/debit card payments will not be
accepted from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, January 7 ET.  



During
the maintenance period, the following USPTO storefronts will be unable to
accept credit/debit card payments:

Customers
with an already established USPTO Deposit Account or Electronic Funds Transfer
(EFT) Account may still pay using one of these payment methods during
the maintenance window.

cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board
End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method.

Trademark
Customers: Filing deadlines that fall on a Saturday extend the filing

The maintenance will also cause interruptions to payment processing for users of the Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA), the Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS), the Order Entry Management System (OEMS), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB-E2E).

Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance


The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, January 8 ET.

During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.

Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated.
Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
