Learn about the Cooperative Patent Classification system for the Internet of Things
Do you want to broaden your knowledge of the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) system and the Internet of Things (IoT)? If so, join our next Classification Cafe Foundational Knowledge session, Wednesday, September 10, from 1-2 p.m. ET.
An expert from our Classification Quality and International Coordination (CQIC) division will provide an overview of the CPC system, the IoT, relevant CPC areas, and CPC IoT examples. The event will conclude with an interactive question-and-answer segment.
The IoT describes the network of physical objects—“things”—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet. These devices range from ordinary household objects to sophisticated industrial tools.
This session is presented by our Stakeholder Offerings and Resources (SOaR) program. For more information on SOaR or CQIC, please contact SOaR@uspto.gov.
