Listening session on the impact of the proliferation of AI on prior art and a person having ordinary skill in the art
Attendees seeking to speak at the listening session, either virtually or in person, must register by 8 p.m. ET on July 19, 2024.
 The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is hosting a listening session on the impact of the proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) on prior art and a person having ordinary skill in the art (PHOSITA). The listening session will take place on July 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET, virtually and in person, at the National Inventors Hall of Fame Museum at USPTO headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia.
Members of the public are invited to provide their input by responding to the questions for public comment included in our April 30 Federal Register notice.
To speak at the listening session, either virtually or in person, register by 8 p.m. ET on July 19. To attend, either virtually or in person, but not speak at the event, register by 8 a.m. ET on July 25.
Seating is limited for in-person attendance.
