Reminder that hard copies of patent guides and forms are discontinued

Effective February 1, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) no longer distributes hard copies of patent guides and forms. This change helps ensure that our customers receive timely information about patent products, processes, and services.

All patent-related information is available on the Patent Basics page of  the USPTO website, with basic information on the Patent Essentials section for those new to the patent process.

To connect directly with our support staff, contact the USPTO Contact Center, which is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET (except for federal holidays).  The Contact Center provides general information including postal and email addresses, websites, USPTO.gov accounts, how to use the online fee payment management system, and contact information for various USPTO services.
