USPTO transitions to issuing electronic certificates of correction for patents

At the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), we are continually looking for opportunities to improve our processes to benefit our stakeholders. In order to streamline publishing certificates of correction, reduce paper waste, and permit issued certificates of correction to be viewable and printable by both patent owners and the public immediately upon issuance in Patent Center, we will begin issuing certificates of correction for patents electronically, similar to how we now issue electronic patent grants. This will become effective on January 30, 2024.

You can find more information in the Official Gazette Notice available on the Patent Related Notices webpage of the USPTO website.
