USPTO requests public comments on proposed patent fee changes

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is proposing changes to patent fees. We invite all interested members of the public to comment on our proposal, which is posted to the fee setting and adjusting section of the USPTO website.

You will have two options for providing feedback:

• Testify at the Patent Public Advisory Committee (PPAC) public hearing, scheduled for May 18, 2023: request to testify by May 11, 2023
• Submit written comments directly to the USPTO: deadline May 25, 2023
