USPTO corrects issue with certain documents digitally retrieved by European Union via WIPO

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently discovered issues with certain priority intellectual property (IP) documents retrieved by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) through the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Digital Access Service (DAS). Once alerted, we worked with the EUIPO to identify the U.S. design applications and patents affected, and we corrected the issues.

We continue to support the secure exchange of priority IP documents with other foreign IP offices via the electronic WIPO DAS system. Learn more in the Official Gazette Notice on the USPTO’s Patent-Related Notices webpage.
