Public listening sessions seeking input on patent pro bono programs

On April 12, 2023, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a Federal Register Notice requesting comments regarding the study of the patent pro bono programs.

The USPTO will be hosting two public listening sessions. The first listening session for inventors, entrepreneurs, and small business owners will be held on June 5, 2023, 5:30-8:30 p.m. ET, in Alexandria, Virginia, as well as virtually.

The second listening session will be held for legal professionals on Wednesday, June 7, 1-4 p.m. ET in Alexandria, Virginia, and virtually.

The study of the patent pro bono programs builds upon the work the USPTO has conducted for over a decade, which has continued during the Biden Administration, to bring more Americans into the innovation ecosystem to create more jobs, foster economic prosperity, and solve world problems.

You must register to attend the listening sessions whether you plan to attend in person or online. Seating is limited for in-person participation.
