Patent Center updated with a more modernized look and feel

An

On March 17, 2023, the United States Patent and Trademark’s (USPTO) Patent Center will have an updated interface with an improved look and feel to enhance and modernize the customer experience.

We listened to feedback from our users and made a number of improvements, including:

  • Easier readability with larger font sizes and icons
  • A larger, more defined drag-and-drop window
  • More spacing between the "continue" and "cancel submission" buttons
  • Training mode more recognizable as a “sandbox” environment

Patent Center is a next-generation system featuring a unified, user-friendly interface. It has replaced Public PAIR and will soon replace EFS-Web and Private PAIR for filing and managing patent applications.

Unique to Patent Center is its training mode, a simulated environment for you to become familiar with the filing process and required information, practice uploading your files (e.g., DOCX), and receive real-time feedback specific to the documents you upload. Nothing you enter in training mode will be saved, and there is no risk of submitting an application.

Visit the Patent Center information page for more information.
