Four minutes will help us improve our website

In support of the goal set forth in our Strategic Plan to generate impactful customer experiences, we’re working to improve how stakeholders identify needed information on our website. To do so, we need more insight on how stakeholders like you interact with www.uspto.gov: why you’re on the site, what you’re looking for, and the challenges you face finding the information and resources you need. Please complete this four-minute survey about your experience.

Take the survey

Your feedback will help us make needed improvements so you can more easily find the right information and finish must-do tasks, such as searching for patents or trademarks, or starting the application process.

If you’ve already taken this survey through our website improvement volunteer group, we thank you for your participation and assistance!

We are committed to continuously incorporating feedback from our customers to enhance the accessibility and design of our resources and improve overall customer satisfaction with our agency. We’ve used your input to make several recent improvements to our digital spaces, including:

  • Expanding the USPTO Virtual Assistant to cover both patent and trademark services
  • Launching an updated USPTO.gov website search tool with new features and greater ability to filter results

“From revamping our website, to enhancing our chat bots, to modernizing our technology, a top priority at the USPTO is to better serve you, our great American innovators,” said Kathi Vidal, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). “Your feedback, whether through our survey or direct correspondence, lets us know how we are doing and where there is an opportunity to do more!”

If you’re interested in volunteering for future surveys, one-on-one interviews, focus groups, or testing of new website features and functionality, you can sign up or read about our other recent website improvements.
