USPTO shares additional resources to support transition to Patent Center system

Last month, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) announced in a press release that on August 1, 2022, the modern, user-friendly Patent Center system will fully replace the legacy Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR) tool for the electronic filing and management of patent applications. The Public PAIR tool will be officially retired on July 31, 2022.

We continue to host training sessions to further increase users’ familiarity with Patent Center. To view the full training schedule and register for a session, please visit the Patent Center Events page on the USPTO website. Users can also watch our Public PAIR retirement video.

More information on the decision to transition to a modern system and the benefits of Patent Center can be read in our latest Director’s blog. Additional information can be found on the Patent Center FAQ page available on the Patent Center webpage of the USPTO website.
