AI and ET Partnership

The inaugural Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emerging Technologies (ET) Partnership meeting is tomorrow!

Join us, June 29, 2022 from 1-5 p.m. ET, to discuss the intersection of patent policy and AI, synthetic biology, and other emerging technologies. Among the topics we will cover is our report to Congress, published today, addressing the current state of subject matter eligibility jurisprudence.

Whether you are an independent inventor, small business, or in academia, industry, at a federal agency or a nonprofit, we want to hear your thoughts.

Remarks by:

  • Kathi Vidal, Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office
  • Lynne Parker, Director of the National AI Initiative, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy

Discussions with AI experts on:

  • Subject matter eligibility and the impact on AI/ET innovation
  • Inventorship and the advent of machine-generated inventions
  • Disclosure and AI/ET inventions

Feedback from the innovation community will shape our future work on AI and ET policy and will inform the broader U.S. government’s approach to AI and ET. Learn more in our recent blog
