The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently published the Expungement and reexamination petitions received webpage. Under the Trademark Modernization Act of 2020, implemented on December 18, 2021, the USPTO created two new mechanisms for challenging registrations for nonuse — ex parte expungement and reexamination proceedings. The new webpage lists all requests for expungement or reexamination. This page will be updated as we receive new requests.
