Test the WIPO Sequence 1.0 Beta application

You are invited to test the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Sequence 1.0 Beta application that is now available on the WIPO website. The WIPO Sequence application was developed by WIPO, with input from intellectual property offices worldwide, including the USPTO. WIPO is offering this beta application, and its user’s manual, to collect feedback from a broader audience to help improve the tool. Please email your feedback to standards@wipo.int.

WIPO Standard ST.26—Recommended Standard for the Presentation of Nucleotide and Amino Acid Sequence Listings Using XML (Extensible Markup Language)—is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2022. For national and international patent applications filed on or after that date, any sequence listings must be compliant with WIPO Standard ST.26.

The WIPO Sequence application is a software tool that enables patent applicants to prepare and validate sequence listings in compliance with WIPO Standard ST.26.
