The PTAB is pleased to announce a new webinar series called “Chat with the Chief” for Chief Judge David Ruschke to share updates on current PTAB developments and initiatives. The first “Chat with the Chief” is on Tuesday, October 24 from noon to 1 p.m. ET. The Chief will discuss multiple AIA trial petitions including new stats about multiple petition filings, the General Plastic informative decision addressing the factors that the Board applies in deciding whether to institute follow-on petitions, and Board case management techniques.
The “Chat with the Chief” is free for all to attend. The Chief will receive questions for a two-way discussion. Webinar access information is provided below.
In addition to the “Chat with the Chief” webinars, the PTAB is continuing its “Boardside Chat” webinar series on a bi-monthly basis. Boardside Chats feature conversations with Board judges on various ex parte appeal and AIA trial topics. The next Boardside Chat is scheduled for Thursday, December 7, 2017 from noon to 1 p.m. ET about best practices for presenting prior art and proving a document is a printed publication in an appeal or trial proceeding.
