Subject matter eligibility under 35 U.S.C. 101

Join us on August 9, 2022 for a presentation on patent subject matter eligibility under 35 U.S.C. 101.

June Cohan, Senior Legal Advisor in the Office of Patent Legal Administration, will provide an overview of the United States Patent and Trademark Office's (USPTO) subject matter eligibility policy and associated materials. The presentation will focus on eligibility issues in the medical arena, including diagnostics, methods of treatment, and pharmaceutical formulations. The presentation will also provide tips and reminders for those prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO.
