Action
Required:

To
receive the deployment, you will need to remain connected to PTONet by leaving
your workstation powered on and either logged off or locked. Save all work and
close all applications.

Your
workstation may be rebooted more than once if multiple updates received by your
workstation require a reboot. If you have any desktop shortcuts for the
Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc..) then you
would need to remove old Office shortcuts and then re-create the shortcuts
after Office 2019 is installed as the shortcuts are custom for each desktop
user’s preference.

How to
create the shortcut:

  • Click on Start Menu and choose the icon
    application, then
left click on the icon (hold down the button
after you left click) and then
drag the icon to the desktop.

or

  • Click on Start and right click on the
Office Icon (Publisher as an example) and click
    More… and Click on
    Open File Location” (image 1.)

  • Right click on the application icon, then select Send to
    and then select
desktop (Create Shortcut) (Image 2. )
