AnyConnect VPN PIV Issue Resolved

CIO Command Center sent out notification on 11/28/2022 at 1:14 pm that the AnyConnect VPN issue has been resolved. It was resolved by pushing a policy change to all USPTO workstations to disable ActivClient advanced logging.  Any users still experiencing issues connecting to AnyConnect VPN can disable ActivClient advanced logging as detailed in the previous System 411 update, connect using their RSA token, or contact the Service Desk for assistance.






Fix for AnyConnect VPN PIV issue

Users that are experiencing an issue may fix the issue by disabling ActivClient Advanced Logging.  Instructions for fixing this yourself without calling the Service Desk may be found at Fix - VPN Connection Instructions (Action Required).pdf

Connecting to VPN using the RSA Token (previous directions) still apply and will work in addition to this solution.

AnyConnect VPN Certificate Issue – Update at 11/28/2022 at 9:22 am

Users that are experiencing an issue connecting to the VPN should first try their RSA Token and the “Alexandria + AD + RSA” profile in AnyConnect.  

Users can also follow the steps in the document below to use the RSA token with AnyConnect.

Users who need to setup their RSA token if they have not done so prior, can follow the steps below:
