Planned Events

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The OCIO will perform maintenance affecting several USPTO systems beginning at 11:59 p.m., Friday, May 24 and ending at 5 p.m., Monday, May 27 ET. 

During the maintenance period, the following systems will be unavailable:

  • Patent Application Location and Monitoring (PALM) Resource Center
  • PALM Pre-Exam
  • PALM PCT Ops (Power)
  • PALM EXPO
  • PALM PRS (Report)
  • PALM FOS (File Ordering)
  • Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web)
  • Assignments
  • Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) CAT/CPC DB
  • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
  • Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB E2E)
  • Adjudicated Case Tracking System (ACTS)
  • Office Action Correspondence Subsystem (OACS)
  • Enterprise Application Integration HUB (EAI HUB)
  • Patent Application Services and Security (PASS)
  • File Inspection Utility (FIU)
  • Application Routing Tool (ART/ACE)

 

During the maintenance period, the following systems will have partial availability:

  • PE2E DAV/eDRS (DAV will be available for application access; Docket/Application data updates and refresh capabilities will not be available)
  • My CPC (lookup by name will not be available)
  • CPC Quality Assurance (QA) tools
  • Office of Data Management (ODM) Withdrawal Report

 

During the maintenance period, the following systems will be available:

  • OC (examiners will be able to post for credit)
  • Examiners Automated Search Tool (EAST), Web-based Examiners Search Tool (WEST), and Search4P
  • PALM Ad Hoc Reporting
  • Integrated Quality System (IQS)
  • SPE Management Database (SMD)
  • WebTA
  • PALM Infra


Please note: Patent examiners will not be able to successfully post Office Actions from OACS during the maintenance period. Patent examiners will be able to successfully post for credit from the OC system.

Patent examiners, patent support staff, and managers should plan their work accordingly. If you plan to work on Saturday, please prepare by taking steps to have alternate work available.

This maintenance will not require a reboot.
