Maintenance Impacting Multiple Systems

The OCIO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, December 15 and ending at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 15 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following systems will be unavailable:

  • Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Accommodation Point
  • Background Investigation Tracking System (BITS)
  • Big Data Reservoir (BDR)
  • Big Data Reservoir – Trademark Quality Review (BDR-TQR)
  • Central Enterprise Data Repository (CEDR)
  • COMET (APEX)
  • CONCUR
  • Cooperative Patent Classification - Intellectual Property (CPC-IP)
  • Davent Hub (DH)
  • Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW)
  • Fee Payment Processing (FPNG)
  • Financial Enterprise Data Management Tools (FEDMT)
  • Image Gallery
  • Learning Center
  • MyUSPTO
  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Information System (OEDIS)
  • One Patent Services Gateway (OPSG)
  • Order Entry Management System (OEMS)
  • Patent Transfer Inquiry (PTI)

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Sunday, December 16 and ending at 9 a.m., Sunday, December 16 ET.

The following systems and systems that interface with these systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

  • Migration Tool will be unavailable.
  • Sponsorship Tool Users will not be able to register for new USPTO.gov accounts or authenticate with USPTO.gov credentials during the maintenance period.
  • Users will still be able to use their Public Key Identification (PKI) certificates to logon to Electronic Filing System - Web (EFS-Web) and Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (PAIR).

EFS-Web and Private PAIR Maintenance:

Additionally, the USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web and PAIR. Users will be unable to file in the DOCX format or save any DOCX submissions within EFS-Web and will be unable to access the DOCX format within Private PAIR during the maintenance period. However, users will still be able to file, save, and access portable document formats (PDFs) in EFS-Web and Private PAIR.
