Patent End-to-End Official Correspondence Maintenance
The OCIO will perform maintenance on the Patent End-to-End Official Correspondence (PE2E-OC) application beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, May 15 and ending at noon, Saturday, May 16 ET.
The application will not be available during the maintenance period.
Users should save their work and exit PE2E-OC prior to 9:50 p.m., Friday, May 15 ET.
CPC Update
The OCIO will update Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) Database 2.0 – Ph2 for the Classification Allocation Tool (CAT) beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, May 15 and ending at noon, Sunday, May 17 ET.
CPC data and services will be unavailable to users during deployment.
In Docket Application Viewer (DAV), CPC information will be unavailable during this update.
Users should save all of your work and exit from Official Correspondence (OC) and CAT, no later than 9:45 p.m., Friday, May 15 ET. The OC Issue Classification form will be impacted by this update as this form requires CPC validation services.
You may continue with other OC functionalities.
90-Day Database Password Change
The OCIO will perform a 90-day database password change on multiple systems to comply with USPTO password management policy beginning at 10 p.m., Saturday, May 16 and ending at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 17 ET.
