Planned Events

Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS) Maintenance 

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on PSIPS from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, February 17 ET. 

This maintenance is to support the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) cutover from RHEL to Rocky Linux.


PTONet Network Switch Code Upgrade 

The USPTO will perform a routine network switch maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 17 ET.

Patent Center will be unavailable during the maintenance period. Please refer to our Filing Documents during an Outage page for other alternative filing method.


Content Management System (CMS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine system maintenance for CMS from 12:01 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Sunday, February 18 ET. 

During the maintenance period, users may not be able to submit, view, download or update Patent documents using the below systems:

    • Sequence Listing Information Control (SLIC)

    • Docket and Application Viewer (DAV)

    • Official Correspondence (OC)

    • Patent Application Locating and Monitoring Patent Cooperation Treaty Operations (PCT-OPS)

    • Patent Application Services and Security (PASS)

    • Event-Hub

    • Office Action Conversion to XML4IP 3.0 (OA2XML)

    • Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)

    • Certified Copy Center (CCC)

Patent Center: Previously submitted documents will not be available at the Patent Center's Documents and Transactions tab during the maintenance period. New documents submitted via Patent Center during the maintenance period will experience longer than expected delays in becoming available in the Patent Center's Documents and Transactions tab. Customers should check back on afternoon of Sunday, February 18 to see if the impacted submissions are available at Patent Center.

Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS) Maintenance 

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on P-TACTS systems from 12:01 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Saturday, February 17 ET.

P-TACTS will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Users should save all work and log off their workstation before the maintenance period begins.

Parties must either pay fees for petitions outside of this scheduled maintenance time or pay early. Those with deadlines for petition filing or other associated documents to a pending AIA case, must use an alternate filing method.
