Planned Events

Trilateral Dossier Access (TDA) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the TDA systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, TDA will not be available.

Patent Office Action to XML (P-OA2XML) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on P-OA2XML from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, DOCX and XML downloads will not be available in Private PAIR and Patent Center.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform database patching maintenance on several of the USPTO's financial systems on two separate nights.

    • The first night of maintenance will be from 12 a.m. until 3 a.m., on Saturday, January 27 ET. 

    • The second night of maintenance will be from 12 a.m., until 3 a.m., Sunday, January 28 ET.

The Vendor Portal application will remain available to manage invoices. Users will be unable to submit invoices or eDeliverables during the downtime. 

Multiple System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) Scheme Navigator, CPC-Collaborative Environment (CPC-CE), and CPC-Classification Allocation Tool (CAT) beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, January 26 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, January 27 ET. 

The Scheme Navigator and CPC-CE and CPC- CAT will be unavailable during the deployment. 

Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30 ET.

During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in Patent Center.

Please check Patent Center after the maintenance period for confirmation of availability of the Supplemental Content Data.

Integrated Quality System (IQS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the IQS systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31 ET.

During the maintenance period, IQS will be unavailable.

​​Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on (P-TACTS) systems for two consecutive nights.

The first night of maintenance will occur from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1 ET.

The final night of maintenance will occur from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Friday, February 2 ET.

P-TACTS will be unavailable during the maintenance period.

Users should save all work and log off before the maintenance period begins.

Parties must either pay fees for petitions outside of this scheduled maintenance time or pay early. Those with deadlines for petition filing or other associated documents to a pending AIA case, must use an alternate filing method.

Electronic Patent Assignments System (EPAS) and Electronic Trademark Assignments System (ETAS) Maintenance

The USPTO Certified Copy and Assignments (CC&A) Product team will replace the EPAS and ETAS systems with IPAS (Assignment Center), from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday, February 2 ET.

During the maintenance period and after, the EPAS and ETAS products will not be available. Please use the new product at: https://assignmentcenter.uspto.gov. 

Content Management System (CMS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine system maintenance for CMS beginning at 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 1 ET. 

During the maintenance period, users may not be able to submit, view, download or update Patent documents using the below systems:

    • Sequence Listing Information Control (SLIC)

    • Docket and Application Viewer (DAV)

    • Official Correspondence (OC)

    • Patent Application Locating and Monitoring Patent Cooperation Treaty Operations (PCT-OPS)

    • Patent Application Services and Security (PASS)

    • Event-Hub

    • Office Action Conversion to XML4IP 3.0 (OA2XML)

    • Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)

    • Certified Copy Center (CCC)

If interruption occurs while viewing, downloading, or saving a Patent Document, please retry after maintenance hours.

Patent Center: Previously submitted documents will not be available at the Patent Center’s Documents and Transactions tab during the maintenance period. New documents submitted via Patent Center during the maintenance period will experience longer than expected delays in becoming available in the Patent Center’s Documents and Transactions tab. Customers should check back on regular business hours of Thursday, February 1 to see if the impacted submissions are available at Patent Center.
