Planned Events

Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on BDSS from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24 ET. 

During the maintenance period, the entire BDSS system will be unavailable.

System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance affecting fee payment processing on two separate nights.

    • The first night of maintenance will be from 12 a.m. until 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 27 ET. 

    • The final night of maintenance will be from 12 a.m. until 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 28 ET.

During the maintenance periods, user access to the following USPTO storefronts will be unavailable:

    • Certified Copy Center (CCC)

    • Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)

    • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)

    • Office of Enrollment and Discipline - Customer Interface (OEDCI)

    • Patent Center (PC)

    • Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG-PMFS) 

    • Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (PTACTS)

    • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)

    • Trademark Electronic Application System International- (TEASi) 

In addition, The Financial Manager system will not be available during the maintenance windows, and recent transactions may not be displayed immediately.

Support for the online fee payment management system, and USPTO.gov accounts, is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET (except federal holidays).

PTAB Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System, (P-TACTS) you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: https://www.uspto.gov/patents/ptab/ptab-e2e-frequently-asked-questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using P-TACTS alternative filing methods. Global Dossier Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on API Gateway impacting Global Dossier beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, January 26 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, January 27 ET.

During the maintenance period, applications mentioned may be unavailable.

Trilateral Dossier Access (TDA) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on the TDA systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, TDA will not be available.
