Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform administrative maintenance on PSIPS beginning at 11:59 p.m., Friday, January 5 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, January 6 ET.

This maintenance will result in an outage until DMZ servers have cutover from RHEL to Rock Linux Servers.

Content Management System (CMS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the CMS beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, January 5 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, January 6 ET. During the maintenance period, CMS will be unavailable.

The following system will be partially impacted during the maintenance:

    • Patent Center: Previously submitted documents will not be available at the Patent Center's Documents and Transactions tab during the maintenance period. New documents submitted via Patent Center during the maintenance period will experience longer than expected delays in becoming available in the Patent Center's Documents and Transactions tab. Customers should check back on Monday, January 8 to see if the impacted submissions are available at Patent Center.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform a database password change on multiple systems to comply with USPTO password management policy from 12:01 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, January 6 ET. 

The following systems will be unavailable during this time:

    • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)

    • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board VUE (TTABVUE)

Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance on BDSS from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10 ET. 

During the maintenance period, users will experience system slowness and will be unable to access data from the last 6 months.
