Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems from 12:01 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 ET.
The following systems and systems that interface with these systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:
• Electronic Filing System Web (EFS-Web & EFS-Web Contingency)
• Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
• Office of Enrollment and Discipline Roster of Patent Attorneys/Agents (OEDCI)
• Patent Center and Sponsorship tool
• Patent Trial and Appeal Tracking System (P-TACTS)
• Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
• Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS)
• Financial Manager and Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG)
• Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board VUE (TTABVUE)
The maintenance will also cause interruptions to payment processing for users of the Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA), the Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS), the Order Entry Management System (OEMS), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB-E2E).

P-TACTS Customers:
If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending AIA case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Tracking System (P-TACTS), you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the P-TACTS FAQ page (https://www.uspto.gov/patents-application-process/patent-trial-and-appeal-board/ptab-e2e-frequently-asked-questions) and see A2 for information concerning your AIA petition filing and/or document filing using P-TACTS alternative filing methods. Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) application Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on TSDR application on two nights:
- The first night of maintenance be from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 ET.
- The final night of maintenance be from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 29 ET.
During the maintenance period, TSDR will be available, but might experience some slow response time.
Maintenance Impacting Manuals
The USPTO will perform maintenance impacting several manuals from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following manuals will be briefly unavailable between 12 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 ET.
Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Application Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on TSDR application on two nights:
- The first night of maintenance be from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 28 ET.
- The final night of maintenance be from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 29 ET.
During the maintenance period, TSDR will be available, but might experience some slow response time.
Trademark Electronic Search System (TM-TESS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the TM-TESS application from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 29 ET.
During the maintenance period, TM-TESS will be unavailable.
Multiple System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform system maintenance from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 29 ET.
During the maintenance period, First Actions System for Trademarks (2.0), X- Search Business intelligence (XS-BI), and X-Search services will not be available.
Multiple System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform server maintenance from 12 a.m. until 5:30 a.m., Sunday, October 29 ET.
During the maintenance period, below component services will not be available.

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS) from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, November 1 ET.
During the maintenance period, the entire BDSS system will be unavailable.
