Planned Events

Electronic Trademark Assignments System (ETAS)

The USPTO Certified Copy and Assignments (CC&A) Product team will perform maintenance on the ETAS system from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday April 29 ET.

During the maintenance period, the ETAS product will be unavailable.

Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS) Migration

The USPTO will perform a migration on PSIPS from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas, beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, April 28 and ending at 3 a.m., Saturday, April 29 ET.   

Note: PSIPS Seqdata will be unavailable during the migration window.

Users should save their work and exit PSIPS before the migration period begins.

Multiple Manual Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance impacting several manuals from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 ET.  

The following manuals will be briefly unavailable from 12 a.m. until 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 ET. 

    •   Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (eMPEP)

    •   Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP)

    •   Trademark Federal Statutes and Rules (TFSR) 

    •   Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Manual of Procedure (TBMP)

Patents and Trademarks user should save notes in eMPEP, TMEP, TFSR and TBMP prior to the maintenance period. 

Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on TSDR application on two nights:

    • The first night of maintenance will occur from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 ET.

    • The final night of maintenance will occur from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, TSDR will be available, but might experience some slow response time.

Reference Document Management Services (RDMS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance impacting several manuals from 12:01 a.m. until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 ET.

During the maintenance period RDMS Webtop and oXygen will be unavailable between 12:01 a.m. to 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, ET.

The following manuals will be briefly unavailable between 12:01 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 29 ET:

• Manual of Patent Examining Procedure (eMPEP)

• Trademark Manual of Examining Procedure (TMEP)

• Trademark Federal Statutes and Rules (TFSR)

• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Manual of Procedure (TBMP)

Trademark Electronic Search System (TM-TESS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the TM-TESS application beginning at 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, TM-TESS will be unavailable.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform system maintenance from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, First Actions System for Trademarks (1.0) (2.0) and X-Search services will be unavailable.

​Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform server maintenance   from 12:01 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, below component services will not be available.

    • ESTTA - Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals

    • TTABVUE- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board VUE

    • TTAB Reading-Room - Trademark Trial and Appeals Board - Reading Room

    • OEDIS- Office of Enrollment and Discipline Information System

Users should save all work and log off before the maintenance period begins.

Trademarks Database Servers Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademarks Database Servers from 12:01 a.m. until 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 30 ET.

During the maintenance period, below component services will not be available.

    • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)

    • Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)

    • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)

    • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)

    • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Inquiry System (TTABVUE)

    • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
