Planned Events

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Friday, April 14 ET.

During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in the following systems:

    • Patent Center

    • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)

Please check Patent Center or Private PAIR after the maintenance period for confirmation of availability of the Supplemental Content Data. If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at (866) 217-9197 during their operating hours of 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday - Friday ET, or email ebc@uspto.gov.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 until 5:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 15 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following applications will be unavailable:

  • Patent Center
  • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR)
  • EFS-Web for Registered eFilers, Unregistered eFilers, and EFS-Web Contingency
  • Content Management System (CMS)
  • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)

  • Momentum
  • Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Information System (TTABIS) Reading Room

​Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 16 ET.

During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.

Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.

​Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform a data sync/migration on S-OPSG from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas from 12:01 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Monday, April 17 ET.

Please note that these applications will not be available during the migration window:

    • EFS-Web for Registered eFilers, Unregistered eFilers and EFS-Web Contingency

    • Fee Processing Next Generation (FPNG)

    • MyUSPTO 

    • Patent Center 

    • Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD)

    • Private-Patent Application (Private-PAIR)
