Trademarks System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Thursday, August 20 and ending 5 a.m., Thursday, August 20 ET.
The systems listed below will be unavailable during the maintenance period:
- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Information System (TTABIS)
- Patent and Trademark Assignment System (PTAS)
- Trademark Madrid System (Madrid)
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform systems maintenance beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, August 22 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Monday, August 24 ET.
You won't be able to access the following systems during the maintenance period:
- Patent and Trademark Assignment System (PTAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
- Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
Vendor Portal Maintenance
The USPTO will perform system maintenance on the Vendor Portal beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, August 22 and ending at 12 p.m., Saturday, August 22 ET.
Vendor Portal may have intermittent outages during the maintenance period.
Fee Payment Processing Maintenance
The USPTO's Third-Party Credit Card Processing service, Pay.gov, will be performing maintenance that impacts USPTO credit/debit card fee payment processing beginning at 6 p.m., Saturday, August 22 and ending at 10 p.m., Saturday, August 22 ET.
The following USPTO storefronts will be unable to accept Credit/Debit card payments during the maintenance period:
- Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web)
- Electronic Filing System-Web Contingency (EFS-Web Contingency)
- Patent Center
- Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTABE2E)
- Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG/MFS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
- Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
- Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS)
- Office of Enrollment and Discipline Roster of Patent Attorneys/Agents (OEDCI)
- Certified Copy Center (CCC)
Customers with an already established USPTO Deposit Account or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) Account may still pay using one of these payment methods during this maintenance window.

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method.

Filing deadlines that fall on a Saturday extend the filing deadline to the next business day. Please try filing again after the maintenance ends.

Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will be performing routine maintenance for PCAPS-IP systems beginning at midnight, Saturday, August 22 and ending 6 a.m., Saturday, August 22 ET.
There will be a complete outage for the following systems:
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR)
Patents Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB)
There may also be a short outage for MyUSPTO between midnight and 2 a.m., Saturday, August 22 ET.
There will also be a secondary routine maintenance for
PCAPS-IP systems beginning at midnight, Sunday, August 23 and ending 8 a.m.,
Sunday, August 23 ET.
There will be a complete outage for the following systems
during this maintenance period:
- Enterprise Application Integration HUB (EAI-HUB)
Electronic Filing System-Web (EFSWEB)
Infrastructure Code Table (ICT)
