Patent Examination Data System (PEDS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform a maintenance on the PEDS from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 9 ET.
During the maintenance period, the PEDS (Patent Examination Data System (uspto.gov) will be unavailable.
This maintenance will resolve a defect and provide the end user with the ability to perform searches for multiple Patent or Patent Application numbers through the user interface.
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) and Patent Center Update
The USPTO will perform internal updates impacting new applications filed via Patent Center and EFS-Web beginning at 7 a.m., Saturday, March 11 and ending at 12:15 a.m., Sunday, March 12 ET.
During the update period, impacted applications may experience extended delays in availability for retrieval within Patent Center and Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR).
Customers should check back during regular business hours, if their submission is impacted.gg
Patent Public Search (PPUBS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on PPUBs from 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 until 4 a.m. Sunday, March 12 ET.
During this deployment period, PPUBs will be unavailable.
Fee Payment Processing Maintenance
Due to system maintenance on USPTO financial systems, we will be unable to accept fee payments from 12 a.m. until 5 a.m. on Saturday, March 11 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following storefronts will be impacted:
• Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web)
• Patent Center
• Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)
• Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
• Financial Manager System
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (ESTTA)
• Office of Enrollment and Discipline Customer Interface (OEDCI)
• Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
• Certified Copy Center (CCC)
In addition, several online financial services will be unavailable, including Patent Maintenance fee bulk uploads and retrieval of Maintenance Fee statements, access to Financial Manager reports and transaction searches, and fee history lookups through Private PAIR. If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:

Support for the online fee payment management system, and USPTO.gov accounts, is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET (except federal holidays).
P-TACTS Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.

Electronic Trademark Assignments System (ETAS) Maintenance
The USPTO Certified Copy and Assignments (CC&A) Product team will perform maintenance on the ETAS system from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 ET.
During the maintenance period, the ETAS product will be unavailable.
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 12 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
