Antivirus (AV) Servers Maintenance
The USPTO will perform system maintenance on AV Servers from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 16 ET.
A listing of affected Patents systems is below:
- Patent Center
- Patent Electronic Filing System – Web (EFS-Web)
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR)
During the maintenance period, users will not be able to access the system.
Patent Application Security System (PASS) Maintenance
The OCIO will perform maintenance on PASS beginning at 10:30 p.m., Thursday, February 16 and ending at 5 a.m., Friday, February 17 ET.
During the maintenance period, PASS will be unavailable.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 18 ET.
The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:
• EFS-Web for Registered eFilers, Unregistered eFilers, and EFS-Web Contingency
• Private PAIR
Patent Center will be available as an alternative to electronically file and retrieve patent applications. Please refer to our Filing Documents during an Outage page for other alternative filing method.
Electronic Trademark Assignments System (ETAS) and Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS)
The USPTO Certified Copy and Assignments (CC&A) Product team will perform maintenance on the ETAS and EPAS system from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 18 ET.
During the maintenance period, the ETAS and EPAS products will be unavailable.
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, February 19 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
