Planned Events

Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on Private-PAIR from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14 ET.

During the maintenance period, Private PAIR will be unavailable. Please use Patent Center as an alternative to electronically retrieve patent applications.

Patent Electronic Filing System – Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, January 15 ET.

During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.

Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.

Docket Application Viewer (DAV) Migration

The USPTO will perform a migration on DAV from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas in two parts:

    • Part 3A beginning at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 17 and ending at 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 17 ET

Note: DAV will be available during the migration window

    • Part 4 beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, January 20 and ending at 9 a.m., Saturday, January 21 ET.  

Note: DAV will be unavailable during the migration window. During the migration, OC users will not be able to post for credit, approve, return, or submit office actions.

Patent Examination Data System (PEDS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the PEDS system from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17 ET.

During the maintenance period, users should not experience any disruption of service.

Public browser users will be required to refresh their browsers to to get the latest changes in PEDS user interface.
