Planned Events

Trademark System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark (TM) systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 2 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:

    • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)

    • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)

    • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)

    • TTAB Reading Room

Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on servers affecting PTAB Interference starting at 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 2 ET.

TEAS and TEASi system maintenance

The Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and TEAS International (TEASi) will be unavailable on Saturday, December 3, from 12:01-8 a.m. ET. We’re updating the forms to comply with the new deadline to respond to office actions for applications.

You will not be able to file TEAS or TEASi forms during the maintenance. File all saved forms and e-signature forms by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, December 2. If you don’t file these forms by that time, you will have to start the process again with new forms. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m., until 6 a.m. Saturday, December 3 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following systems will be unavailable:

    • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board VUE (TTABVUE)

    • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)

Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, December 4 ET.

During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.

Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 2 a.m. Tuesday, December 6 ET.

During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in the following systems:

    • Patent Center

    • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
