Patent Examination Data Search (PEDS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the PEDS system from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, November 10 ET.
During the maintenance period, users may experience temporary disruption of service.
Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Official Gazette and Trademark ID Manual from 12:01 a.m. until 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 12 ET. Both systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on SCORE which will affect multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Thursday, November 10 ET.
During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in the following systems:
• Patent Center
• Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
Please check Patent Center or Private-PAIR after the maintenance period for confirmation of availability of the Supplemental Content Data. If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at (866) 217-9197 during their operating hours of 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday - Friday ET, or email ebc@uspto.gov.
Electronic Library for Patents (P-ELP) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on P-ELP for two consecutive nights. The dates are as follows:
• The beginning night of maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Friday, November 11 ET.
• The final night of maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. Saturday, November 12 ET.
P-ELP will be available during the maintenance period; however, some operations may be briefly interrupted or delayed.
Patent Center users should retry if an operation is interrupted or does not appear to have been completed.
Fee Processing Next Generation (FPNG) and Payment processing Maintenance
Due to system maintenance of the USPTO network, fee payment processing may experience an intermittent outage beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, November 11 and ending at 2 a.m., Saturday, November 12 ET.
Note: Friday, November 11 is a federal holiday (Veterans Day).
During the maintenance period, the following storefronts will be impacted:
- Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web)
- Patent Center
- Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)
- Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (ESTTA)
- Office of Enrollment and Discipline Customer Interface (OEDCI)
- Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
- Certified Copy Center (CCC)
If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:
Patent Customers: For more information about filing documents during an outage, please visit: https://www.uspto.gov/patents/apply/filing-online/filing-documents-during-outage.
P-TACTS Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.

Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD) and One Portal Dossier (OPD) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the P-GD-PAD and OPD systems from 12:01 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12 ET.
During the maintenance period, both applications may be unavailable.
Trademark Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on Trademark systems from 12:01 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 12 ET.
During the migration period, the following systems will be unavailable:
• Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG): You can access recent PDF versions of the gazette on the Trademark Official Gazette webpage. For archived PDF versions of gazettes dating back to 2001, visit the archived editions page.
• Trademarks ID Manual (IDM)
The following systems will be available during the migration period, but with limited functionality:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS): Initial application forms will be unavailable. Links to and images derived from TSDR will be unavailable, including mark images.
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi): Links to and images derived from TSDR will be unavailable, including mark images.
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR): All documents may not be viewable
User will need to wait until maintenance is complete for full functionality of affected systems to return.
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, November 13 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
Docket and Application Viewer (DAV) Migration
The USPTO will perform a migration on DAV from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas in two final parts.
• Part 3 will take place from 12:05 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15 ET.
Note: DAV will be unavailable during the migration window
• Part 4 will take place from 12:05 a.m. until 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22 ET.
Note: DAV will be unavailable during the migration window. During the deployment, OC users will not be able to post for credit, approve, return, or submit office actions.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The OCIO will perform maintenance on Supplemental Complex Repository for Examiners (SCORE) which will affect multiple systems from 12:01 a.m. until 2 a.m. Tuesday, November 15 ET.
During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in the following systems:
- Patent Center
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
