Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting the TSDR system beginning at 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 21 and ending at 2 a.m., Friday, October 21 ET.
During the maintenance period, TSDR will be unavailable.
Links to TSDR will not be available from the following systems:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademarks Electronic Official Gazette (TMOG)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Viewing on the Web (TTABVUE)
• Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)
• USPTO TM Status mobile app
Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on TESS beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, October 21 and ending at 11:59 p.m., Friday, October 21 ET.
The following systems will be impacted:
• Trademark Design Search Codes Manual(TDSCM)
• PCTRAM (Mark image not available)
• First Action System for Trademarks (FAST1)/ Form Paragraph Editor Program (FPEP) (Link to TESS unavailable)
• Trademark Examination TM-Exam) (Link to TESS unavailable)
Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on Private-PAIR beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, October 21 and ending at 10 p.m., Friday, October 21 ET.
During the maintenance period, Private-PAIR will be unavailable. Please use Patent Center as an alternative to electronically retrieve patent applications.
Trademark Content Management (TM-CMS) and Abstraction Layer (TM-AL) Migration
The USPTO will perform a migration on TM-CMS and TM-AL from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas, beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, October 22 and ending at 6 a.m., Saturday, October 22 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:
•Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
•Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
•Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
Trademarks Databases Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Production databases beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, October 22 and ending at 2 a.m., Saturday, October 22 ET.
The following systems will be impacted:
• Trademarks ID Manual (IDM) will not be available.
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) initial application forms will not be available.
• TTAB Reading Room will not be available.
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) will be available, but all documents may not be viewable.
The following systems will remain available, but links to and images derived from TSDR will be unavailable, including mark images.

• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
Assignments on the Web (AOTW) Upgrade
The USPTO and Certified Copy and Assignments Product team will perform an upgrade on AOTW beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 22 and ending at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 22 ET.
During this upgrade period, the AOTW product will not be available. The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Viewing on the Web (TTABVUE) and Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) products will be available however; the connect to AOTW will not be available.
Central Enterprise Data Repository-Infrastructure (CEDR-Infra) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform a migration on CEDR-Infra from the Production Data Center in Alexandria to a new Data Center in Manassas, beginning at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, October 25 and ending at 8 a.m., Tuesday, October 25 ET
The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:
• Patent Center
• EFS-Web for Registered eFilers
• Private PAIR
The following systems will be available during the maintenance period for filing new applications only:
• EFS-Web for Unregistered eFilers
• EFS-Web Contingency
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, October 23 and ending at 10 p.m., Sunday, October 23 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
Services-Document Wrapper for Patents (S-DWP) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the S-DWP beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, October 21 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, October 22 ET.
During the maintenance period, CMS will be unavailable.
The following systems will be partially impacted during the maintenance:
- Patent Center
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
| Previously submitted documents will not be available at the Patent Center and Private PAIR's IFW tab during the maintenance period. New documents submitted via Patent Center and Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) during the maintenance period will experience longer than expected delays in becoming available in the Patent Center and Private PAIR's IFW tab. Customers should check back on Monday, October 24 to see if the impacted submissions are available at Patent Center and Private PAIR. |
