MyUSPTO System Update
As part of the current MyUSPTO deployment to address user experience issues reported by customers, a database schema change is needed.
Given the high volume of users at any point of time in the system, the USPTO will need to take the system down to make the schema change and avoid any potential problems.
Multiple Applications Retirement
After September 30, the following systems will no longer be available:
• Patent Full Text on the Web (PATFT)
• Application Full Text (APPFT)
• Public Examiner's Automated Search Tool (Public EAST)
• Public Web-Based Examiner's Search Tool (Public WEST)
Please use Patent Public Search (https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/) to conduct searches of U.S. patents and published applications. Visit the Patent Public Search (https://ppubs.uspto.gov/pubwebapp/static/pages/landing.html) website for additional resources. For questions regarding Patent Public Search, please contact the Public Search Facility at psf@uspto.gov.
Multiple Systems Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Thursday, October 6 and ending at 2 a.m., Thursday, October 6 ET.
During this maintenance period, availability of Supplemental Content data for new applications and follow-ons filed will be delayed in the following systems:
- Patent Center
- Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
Please check Patent Center or Private PAIR after the maintenance period for confirmation of availability of the Supplemental Content Data. If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at (866) 217-9197 during their operating hours of 6 a.m. to midnight, Monday - Friday ET, or email: ebc@uspto.gov.
Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Content Management (TM-CMS) and Abstraction Layer (TM-AL) systems on the following dates:
• The maintenance for TM-CMS will begin at 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 7 and end at 5:30 a.m., Friday, October 7 ET.
• The maintenance for TM-AL will begin at 1:30 a.m., Friday, October 7 and end at 2:30 a.m., Friday, October 7 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
• TTAB Reading Room
Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting the TSDR system beginning at 12:01 a.m., Friday, October 7 and ending at 2 a.m., Friday, October 7 ET.
During the maintenance period, TSDR will be unavailable.
Links to TSDR will not be available from the following systems:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademarks Electronic Official Gazette (TMOG)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Viewing on the Web (TTABVUE)
• Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)

Assignments on the Web (AOTW) Maintenance
The USPTO will be perform an upgrade on AOTW beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, October 8 and ending at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, October 8 ET.
During the maintenance period, there will be a complete outage for AOTW.
