MyUSPTO System Update

As part of the current MyUSPTO deployment to address user experience issues reported by customers, a database schema change is needed. 

Given the high volume of users at any point of time in the system, the USPTO will need to take the system down to make the schema change and avoid any potential problems.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting multiple systems beginning at 8 p.m., Saturday, September 24 and ending at 1 a.m., Sunday, September 25 ET.

During the maintenance period, assignment data will be unavailable at the Patent Center and Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR).

Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on Private-PAIR beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, September 24 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, September 24 ET.

During the maintenance period, Private PAIR will be unavailable. Please use Patent Center as an alternative to electronically retrieve patent applications.

Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on EPAS beginning at 8 p.m., Saturday, September 24 and ending at 1 a.m., Sunday, September 25 ET.

During the maintenance period, EPAS will be unavailable.

Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on ETAS beginning at 8 p.m., Saturday, September 24 and ending at 1 a.m., Sunday, September 25 ET.

Users should save their work and exit ETAS before the migration period begins.

Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, September 25 and ending at 10 p.m., Sunday, September 25 ET.

During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.

Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
