Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private-PAIR) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on Private-PAIR beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, August 27 and ending at 4 a.m., Saturday, August 27 ET.
During the maintenance period, Private-PAIR will be unavailable. Please use Patent Center as an alternative to electronically retrieve patent applications.
Multiple System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA), Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Inquiry System (TTABVUE) and TTAB Reading-Room (TTAB-RR) beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, August 27 and ending at 3 a.m., Saturday, August 27 ET.
During the maintenance period, ESTTA, TTABVUE and TTAB-RR will be unavailable.
Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the TEAS and TEASi systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, August 27 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, August 27 ET.
During the maintenance period, TEAS and TEASi will be unavailable.
Patent Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, August 28 and ending at 10 p.m., Sunday, August 28 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark (TM) systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, August 27 and ending at 7:30 a.m., Saturday. August 27 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
• TTAB Reading Room
Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on P-GD-PAD beginning at 12:01 a.m., Sunday, August 28 and ending at 5 a.m., Sunday, August 28 ET.
During the maintenance period P-GD-PAD will be unavailable.
Vendor Portal Maintenance
The USPTO will perform database patching maintenance on several of the USPTO's financial systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, August 30 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30 ET.
During the maintenance period, Vendor Portal will be available but submissions will not be successful.
Fee Processing Next Generation (FPNG) and Payment Processing Maintenance
Due to system maintenance on USPTO financial systems, we will be unable to accept fee payments beginning at 12 a.m., Tuesday, August 30 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following storefronts will be impacted:
• Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web)
• Patent Center
• Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB-E2E)
• Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
• Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (ESTTA)
• Office of Enrollment and Discipline Customer Interface (OEDCI)
• Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
• Certified Copy Center (CCC)
In addition, several online financial services will be unavailable, including Patent Maintenance fee bulk uploads and retrieval of Maintenance Fee statements, access to Financial Manager reports and transaction searches, and fee history lookups through Private PAIR. If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:

If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m., to midnight ET.
PTAB Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.
