Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark Examination system beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, March 4 and ending at 10 p.m., Friday, March 4 ET.
The Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG) may experience a brief outage or loss of functionality during the maintenance.
Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark (TM) systems beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, March 4 and ending at 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 4 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but there will be brief outage of about 5-10 mins around 10:30 p.m., ET.
• Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
• Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
• Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
Fee Payment Processing Maintenance
Due to system maintenance on USPTO financial systems, we will be unable to accept fee payments beginning at 12 a.m., Saturday, March 5 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, March 5 ET.
During the maintenance period, the following storefronts will be impacted:
- Electronic Filing System (EFS-Web)
- Patent Center
- Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB-E2E)
- Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
- Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
- Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (ESTTA)
- Office of Enrollment and Discipline Customer Interface (OEDCI)
- Electronic Trademark Assignment System (ETAS)
- Certified Copy Center (CCC)
If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:
Patent Customers: For more information about filing documents during an outage, please visit: https://www.uspto.gov/patents/apply/filing-online/filing-documents-during-outage. If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m., to midnight ET.
PTAB Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.

Trademark Customers: Filing deadlines that fall on a Saturday extend the filing deadline to the next business day. Please try filing again after the maintenance ends. If you have any questions, contact the TEAS Team by email at TEAS@uspto.gov.

Vendor Portal Maintenance
The USPTO will perform system maintenance on the Vendor Portal beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, March 5 and ending at 5 a.m., Saturday, March 5 ET.
During the maintenance period, the Vendor Portal will be unavailable.
Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on EFS-Web beginning at 8 p.m., Sunday, March 6 and ending at 10 p.m., Sunday, March 6 ET.
During this maintenance period, Fee Worksheets and Acknowledgement Receipts for submissions will not be generated. There will be a delay before these documents will be available.
Applicants may file submissions in EFS-Web during this time, but wait until Monday for those documents to be generated. Applicants may still file submissions via Patent Center.
USPTO Customer Contact Management System (UCCMS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on UCCMS beginning 12:01 a.m., Sunday, March 6 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Sunday, March 6 ET.
During the maintenance, UCCMS will be unavailable.
Patent Public Search (PPUBS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the PPUBS system beginning at 10 p.m., Sunday, March 6 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Monday, March 7 ET.
During the maintenance period, users will need to be prepared for interruptions, including outages, limited access, and reduced performance to PPUBS.
