Global Dossier and One Portal Dossier Impact

Global Dossier and One Portal Dossier will be impacted due to European Patent Office service unavailability from 8 a.m., Friday, February
18 and ending at 1 a.m., Monday, February 21 ET.

During the maintenance period, Patent Family results and Dossier information from EPO will not be available.

Trademark System (TM) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on TM systems beginning at 10 p.m., Friday, February 18 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Saturday, February 19 ET.

During the maintenance period, the following systems will remain available, but mark images and documents will be unavailable:

  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
  • Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR)
  • TTAB Reading Room


Vendor Portal Maintenance
The USPTO will perform system maintenance on the Vendor Portal beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, February 19 and ending at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 19 ET.

During the maintenance period, the Vendor Portal will be unavailable.

Patent Application Locating and Monitoring Patent Cooperation Treaty Operations (PALM PCT-OPS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on PALM PCT-OPS beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, February 19 and ending at 7 a.m., Saturday, February 19 ET.

During this maintenance period, new PCT applications submitted via EFS-Web and Patent Center will experience a delay in application processing.

This delay will prevent the filing of follow-on submissions for yet to be processed PCT applications. Once PCT-OPS services are fully restored, application processing will resume.

Patent Application Locating and Monitoring Patent Cooperation Treaty Operations (PALM PCT-OPS) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on Palm PCT-OPS beginning at 10 p.m., Saturday, February 19 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Sunday, February 20 ET.

During this maintenance period, new PCT applications submitted via EFS-Web and Patent Center will experience a delay in application processing.

This delay will prevent the filing of follow-on submissions for yet to be processed PCT applications. Once PCT-OPS services are fully restored, application processing will resume.

USPTO System Maintenance

The USPTO will be performing maintenance to multiple systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, February 19 and ending at 8 a.m., Saturday, February 19 ET.

The following systems will be unavailable during the maintenance:

    •    Patent Center    
    •    Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web)
    •    Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
    •    Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR)
    •    Global Dossier (GD)
    •    One Portal Dossier (OPD)

Fee Payment Processing Maintenance

Due to system maintenance on USPTO financial systems, we will be unable to accept fee payments between midnight and 1 a.m. on Saturday, February 19 ET.

Between 1 a.m. and noon on Saturday, February 19, we cannot accept Deposit Account fee payments; however credit card and EFT fee payment processing, including making replenishments to fund Deposit Accounts, will be available.

The following storefronts will be impacted by the maintenance

In addition, several online financial services will be unavailable, including Patent Maintenance fee bulk uploads and retrieval of Maintenance Fee statements, access to Financial Manager reports and transaction searches, and fee history lookups through Private PAIR.

If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:

If you have questions, please contact the Patent Electronic Business Center (EBC) at 1-866-217-9197, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to midnight ET.

PTAB Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB-E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method. Please visit the PTAB-E2E FAQ page: PTAB E2E frequently asked questions and see A2 for information concerning your America Invents Act (AIA) petition filing and/or document filing using PTAB-E2E alternative filing methods.

Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) and Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi) Maintenance 

The USPTO will perform maintenance on TEAS and TEASi beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, February 26 and ending at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 26 ET.  

During the maintenance period, TEAS and TEASi will be unavailable. 

Users should file all saved and e-signature initial application forms by 7:59 a.m., Saturday, February 26 ET. If you don't file these initial application forms by that time, you will have to start the process again with new initial application forms.  Saved and e-signature forms, other than the initial applications, will work after the release.
