Planned Events

Docket Application Viewer (DAV) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on DAV each night beginning at 12:01 a.m., Tuesday, February 1 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Friday, February 4 ET.

During the maintenance period, DAV will be unavailable only from 12:01 a.m., to 5:30 a.m., on Wednesday, February 2 ET.

During the maintenance period, the system is anticipated to remain available on Tuesday, February 1, Thursday, February 3, and Friday, February 4.

Patent Global Dossier Public Access Dossier (P-GD-PAD) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the P-GD-PAD system beginning at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, February 2 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 2ET.

During the maintenance period, P-GD-PAD may be unavailable.

Patent Office Action to XML (P-OA2XML) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on P-OA2XML beginning at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, February 2 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 2 ET.

During the maintenance period, DOCX and XML downloads will not be available in Private PAIR and Patent Center.

Users should save all work and log off before the maintenance period begins.

Cooperative Patent Classification (CPC) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on CPC beginning at 12 a.m., Wednesday, February 2 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 2 ET.

During the maintenance period, CPC will be unavailable.

One Portal Dossier (OPD) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the OPD system beginning at 12:01 a.m., Thursday, February 3 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, February 3 ET.

During the maintenance period, OPD may be unavailable.

Electronic Library for Patents (P-ELP) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on P-ELP for three consecutive nights. The dates are as follows:

     The first night of maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m., Thursday, February 3 and end at 5:30 a.m., Thursday, February 3 ET.
    • The second night of maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m., Friday, February 4 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Friday, February 4 ET.
    •
 The final night of maintenance will begin at 12:01 a.m., Sunday, February 6 and end at 5:30 a.m., Sunday, February 6 ET.

P-ELP will be available during the maintenance period; however, some operations may be briefly interrupted or delayed.

Users should retry if an operation is interrupted or does not appear to have been completed.

Integrated Quality System (IQS) and Patents Service for Time and Routing (P-STAR) Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance on the IQS and P-STAR systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Friday, February 4 and ending at 5:30 a.m., Friday, February 4 ET.

Users should save all work and log off before the maintenance period begins.

Bulk Data Storage System (BDSS)

The USPTO will perform maintenance on BDSS beginning at 10 a.m., Friday, February 4 and ending at 3 p.m., Friday, February 4 ET.

During the maintenance period, the entire BDSS system will be unavailable.

Multiple Systems Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting several systems beginning at 12:01 a.m., Saturday, February 5 and ending at 8 a.m., Saturday, February 5 ET.

The following systems and systems that interface with these systems will be unavailable during the maintenance period:

  • Electronic Filing System Web (EFS-Web & EFS-Web Contingency)
  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Roster of Patent Attorneys/Agents (OEDCI)
  • Patent Center and Sponsorship tool
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Tracking System (P-TACTS)
  • Private Patent Application Information Retrieval (Private PAIR)
  • Public Patent Application Information Retrieval (Public PAIR)
  • Publication Site for Issued and Published Sequences (PSIPS)
  • Financial Manager and Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASi)
  • Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG)
  • Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS)
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Information System (TTABIS)
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board VUE (TTABVUE)

The maintenance will also cause interruptions to payment processing for users of the Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS), the Order Entry Management System (OEMS), the Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End to End (PTAB-E2E).

During the maintenance period, viewing documents in TTABVUE will be unavailable.
