Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on ESTTA beginning at 4 p.m., Monday January 3 and ending at 5 p.m., Monday January 3 ET.
During the maintenance period, ESTTA will be unavailable.
Patent Examination Data Search (PEDS) Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the PEDS system beginning at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 4 and ending at 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 4 ET.
During the maintenance period, customers may experience a temporary disruption of service.
Trademark System Maintenance
The USPTO will perform maintenance on the Trademark TMNG Systems beginning at 12 a.m., Thursday, January 6 and ending at 6 a.m., Thursday, January 6 ET.
The following systems will be impacted:
- Trademark Official Gazette (TMOG) will not be available. You can access recent PDF versions of the gazette on the Trademark Official Gazette webpage. For archived PDF versions of gazettes dating back to 2001, visit the archived editions page.
- Trademarks Next Generation ID Manual (TMNG-IDM) will not be available.
- Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS) initial application forms will not be available.
- TTAB Reading Room will not be available.
- Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) will be available, but all documents may not be viewable.
The following systems will remain available, but links to and images derived from TSDR will be unavailable, including mark images.

Patent and Trademark Assignment System (PTAS) Update
The USPTO will perform an update to the PTAS for a server upgrade beginning at 12 p.m., Friday, January 7 and ending at 5 a.m., Monday, January 10 ET.
During the maintenance period, The Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS) and Electronic Patent Assignment Search (EPAS) will be unavailable.
