Planned Events

Private PAIR Maintenance

The USPTO will perform maintenance affecting Private-PAIR beginning at 11:59 p.m., Tuesday, December 8 and ending at 5 a.m., Wednesday, December 9 ET.

During the maintenance period, the system will not be available.

Vendor Portal Maintenance

The USPTO will perform system maintenance on the Vendor Portal beginning at 12:01 a.m., Wednesday, December 9 and ending at 5 a.m., Wednesday, December 9 ET.

During the maintenance period, the Vendor Portal will be unavailable.

Fee Payment Processing Maintenance

The USPTO's accounting system will be undergoing maintenance that impacts USPTO Deposit Account payment processing beginning at 12 a.m., Saturday, December 12 and ending at 8 a.m., Saturday, December 12 ET.

Additionally, Financial Manager stored payment method transaction data/statements will have delayed data between 5 p.m., Friday, December 11 and 8 a.m., Saturday, December 12 ET.

The following USPTO storefronts will be unable to accept USPTO Deposit Account payments during the maintenance period:

  • Electronic Filing System-Web (EFS-Web)
  • Electronic Filing System-Web Contingency (EFS-Web Contingency)
  • Patent Center
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTABE2E)
  • Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG/MFS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
  • Electronic System for Trademark Trials and Appeals (ESTTA)
  • Electronic Trademark Assignment Search (ETAS)
  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Roster of Patent Attorneys/Agents (OEDCI)
  • Certified Copy Center (CCC)

Customers with an already established Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) account, or a Credit Card may still pay using one of these payment methods during this maintenance window.

If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Board End-to-End (PTAB E2E) System, you may use an alternative filing method.
