Vendor Portal Maintenance

The USPTO will perform database patching maintenance on several of the USPTO's financial systems from 12-3 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 16.

The Vendor Portal application will remain available to manage invoices; however, users will be unable to submit invoices or eDeliverables during the downtime.

Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Inquiry System (TTABVUE) and Trademark Status and Document Retrieval (TSDR) Update

The USPTO Certified Copy and Assignments (CC&A) Product team will perform a routine update of TLS 1.2 on the outbound traffic of AOTW and AHD application servers in production from 9- 11 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 16.

During the update period, TSDR and TTABVUE will be unavailable.

System Maintenance

The USPTO will perform routine maintenance affecting fee payment processing beginning at midnight-3 a.m. ET on Saturday, March 16. Additionally, several online financial services will be impacted to include a delay in timeliness of deposit account balances, Financial Manager report transaction details and transaction searches, and fee history lookups through Patent Center.

Fee payment processing will be unavailable across the USPTO Storefronts to include:

  • Patent Center
  • Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System (P-TACTS)
  • Patent Maintenance Fees Storefront (FPNG)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System (TEAS)
  • Trademark Electronic Application System International (TEASI)
  • Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (ESTTA)
  • Office of Enrollment and Discipline Customer Interface (OEDCI)
  • Assignment Center (IPAS)
  • Certified Copy Center (CCC)

If you are unable to wait until the maintenance has concluded to pay a fee, the following alternative options are available:

PTAB Customers: If your deadline is today for the petition filing and/or other associated documents to a pending America Invents Act (AIA) case and you cannot file electronically via the Patent Trial and Appeal Case Tracking System, (P-TACTS) you may use an alternative filing method.
